Program Staff

  • Joe oversees Club operations and programs with primary concern for program development and implementation, staff development, supervision of staff, facilities, and budget management. Joe is a former coach in the Cabarrus County school system and has several years' experience as a high school teacher. He has been employed at the Club since 1999. Joe has a BA Degree in Education from UNC-Charlotte.

  • Mark oversees the development of the Afterschool & Summer Programs, including designing practices, processes and procedures for strong program and project management. He also supports in the overall operation of the Club. Mark joined the Club in 2009. He has a BA in Parks and Recreation Management from UNC Wilmington, and a Masters of Science Degree in Sports Studies from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

  • John works with the Deputy Director of Operations to manage the daily operations of the athletic/team sports program and the Camp Spencer program with primary concern for program development and implementation. John also manages the Club’s facilities and vehicle fleet. John is from Salisbury, NC and currently resides in China Grove. He earned his BA in Social Studies and achieved a Minor in History. He says success is setting goals and making a difference is someone's life. John loves spending time in the Rocky Mountains and Lake Tahoe!

  • Thelma works with the Deputy Director of Operations to manage Club operations and programs, including program development and implementation, staff development, and staff supervision. Thelma is a trained youth professional and has been employed at the Club since 2001. She has several years of experience in the Cabarrus County school system.

  • Rodney, better know as "Coach Breezy", works with the Deputy Director of Operations to manage Club operations and programs, including program development and implementation, staff development, and staff supervision. Rodney joined the Club staff in 2012. He is a graduate of Central Cabarrus High School, and has been a volunteer coach at the Club for over 20 years.

  • Quinton Grant, Unit Director-K & 1st grade and Mentoring/Life Skills/Arts & Crafts
    Quinton Grant, Unit Director-K & 1st grade and Mentoring/Life Skills/Arts & Crafts

    Quinton works with the Deputy Director of Operations to manage Club operations, including program development and implementation, staff development, and staff supervision. He is also responsible for monitoring and implementation of our Club's mentoring program. Quinton previously worked in our Summer Program and at a Boys & Girls Club in Kansas. He has experience in mentoring and behavior modification working in Charlotte-Meck schools. Quinton received a BA in Sociology with a minor in Urban Youth and Community from UNCC.

  • Alec supervises the programs and develops the activities for the Middle School youth at our Club. A Concord native, Alec joined our team in 2018. He began as a member of the Club in kindergarten and continued through his school years. He began working in 2007 as camp counselor. Alec graduated from East Carolina University in 2018 with a BS Degree in Recreation and Park Management.

  • Renee McCullough, Program Director-High School
    Renee McCullough, Program Director-High School

    Renee supervises the programs and develops the activities for the High School youth at our Club. Renee began working at the Club in 2012 before becoming a Police Officer at Concord Police Department. She returned to the Club in 2019. She graduated from Concord High School and earned her BA in Criminal Justice from UNC-Charlotte. Renee loves interacting with children and has a passion to inspire and help kids achieve their full potential. When she is not working, she enjoys family time, a good TV binge and coaching basketball.

  • Annette Mason, Program Director-Education/Technology
    Annette Mason, Program Director-Education/Technology

    Annette supervises and develops Learning Center and Technology Room activities for the youth at our Club with a focus on the 2nd-3rd grade. Annette joined our staff in 2012 as a Program Aide and joined the team full time in 2022. Prior to working at the Club, Annette was a teacher’s assistant and bus driver with Cabarrus County Schools for 12 years. She also was a volunteer coach at the Club in the cheerleading, basketball, and volleyball programs for 20 years. She graduated from East Carolina University and has a BA in Applied Science.

  • Tina Pritchard, Program Director-Life Skills/Arts & Crafts
    Tina Pritchard, Program Director-Life Skills/Arts & Crafts

    Tina began her career as a Pro Tennis Player and Instructor, training at Cabarrus Country Club and teaching for CPCC. She held various positions at Parks & Rec in Brunswick County, NC, and started the Sea Turtle Program as Director of Parks & Rec in Oak Island. After moving to Wisconsin, she worked as Program Supervisor for the City of Brookfield Parks & Rec. Returning to NC, she was Director of Parks & Rec at the Town of Ahoskie before retiring and moving to Concord. Tina's passions are kayaking, hiking, biking and anything outdoors.

  • Bri Smith, Program Director-Recreation/STEM
    Bri Smith, Program Director-Recreation/STEM

    Bri supervises and develops Game Room, Activity Room, and STEM activities for the youth at our Club, with a focus on the 4th-5th grades. She started working at the Club in 2011 as a Program Aide and became a Program Director in 2017. She plays an integral part in supporting our 21st Century program activities. Bri has spent most of her life with the Club. Before working here, Bri was a member of our Club programs from kindergarten through high school.

  • Mary Beth assists in the responsibilities of the Club Central Desk, which include greeting parents, directing calls and providing administrative support. She also generates program rosters and attendance sheets, and enters student's academic information into our member database. Mary Beth is from China Grove and currently lives in Mount Pleasant. She began working at the Club in 2007 and joined the team full time in 2021. Mary Beth is retired from Cabarrus County Schools and holds an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.

  • Chantal Sanders, Food Service Manager
    Chantal Sanders, Food Service Manager

    Chantal oversees the cafeteria and all activities / feeding of our Club kids. She has over 10 years of experience working in the school system and child care. Chantal joined our team in 2021. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her 8 Lovebugs (grandchildren), shopping, and watching a great movie. Family, Love are the most important things to her.

  • Jeff Kidd, Facilities Manager
    Jeff Kidd, Facilities Manager

    Jeff oversees the facilities and grounds of the Club, ensuring they are kept at a high standard of appearance. He also provides general maintenance and upkeep of Club vehicles, an important aspect of this position. Jeff has been working at the Club since 2008.
