The Club generally follows the decisions of the Cabarrus County Schools when deciding whether to close or not on days of inclement weather.

If children are sent home early from schools before regular dismissal time, the Afterschool Program will also be canceled.  The Boys & Girls Club will not provide any transportation.

If school is canceled because of inclement weather, the Afterschool Program will also be canceled.  Occasionally, on days when we feel that the road conditions are suitable for travel, we may decide to open as a School Closing Day (7:30 am-6:30 pm) or open with a delay (most likely 10 am). We will try to make a decision the night before the following day or early in the morning.  Information will be recorded on the Club’s voicemail (704-721-2582, ext. 2) and on our Facebook page.

Regarding athletics, the Club will make a decision by 4:30 pm and notify coaches.  Information will also be recorded on the Club’s voicemail (704-721-2582, ext. 2) and on our Facebook page.
