80 Years of Great Futures: A Community Celebration

Laughter filled the air, carnival games brought out friendly competition, and the smell of hot dogs and the promise of ice cream made for a perfect afternoon! On Saturday, October 17, the Boys & Girls Club of Cabarrus County opened its blue doors to the community for an afternoon of fun and celebration in honor of the Club’s 80th anniversary.

Attendees enjoyed a bouncy house, a giant inflatable slide, five carnival games, face painting, food, candy, and plenty of sweet treats. The carnival brought families and community members together for an afternoon filled with smiles, new connections, and memories to last a lifetime.

We were proud to celebrate alongside our community partners who helped make the day possible. Thank you to Food Lion for providing hot dogs and food, The Factory Church for bringing their ice cream truck, as well as the City of Concord Electric Systems and the Concord Fire Department for joining us at the celebration.

For 80 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Cabarrus County has been a place for young people to learn, grow, build friendships, and find a sense of belonging. This milestone is about more than our history; it’s about the generations of Club members, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners who have made our story possible.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and continues to be part of our BGC family. We’re proud of our 80-year legacy and excited for all the memories still to come!

80 years, one family, and a place for everyone through our blue doors.
