The Afterschool Program is the primary program at the Boys & Girls Club of Cabarrus County. Open Monday through Friday from 2:30 - 6:30 pm, elementary and middle school children are picked up from area schools and brought to the Club for a variety of activities.  Homework help, life skills classes, and strong mentoring help youth develop skills for getting along with others, problem solving, communicating, goal setting, and decision making.  These activities, combined with positive relationships with staff, help youth develop a positive sense of identity and help them develop a moral compass.

The Summer Program provides youth with a safe environment to spend the summer months;  arming them with the knowledge, skills, and self-esteem they need to avoid at-risk behavior.  Each day we provide breakfast, a hot lunch, and a snack to every child.  The Summer Program operates 7:30am until 6:30pm weekdays from June to August.  Children are able to enjoy our activity rooms, as well as participate in a variety of field trips and Camp Spencer.

Our Athletic Programs have been part of the Club from the very beginning.  We offer Football, Cheerleading, Basketball, and Volleyball for boys and girls ages 5-12.  Our team sports teach boys and girls good team building skills and game fundamentals.  Each program's ultimate goal is to ensure that all youth have an enjoyable experience every time they step onto the field or court.

The Tarheel Keystone Club is a dynamic teen program in which high school age youth participate, both in and out of the Club, in activities in three focus areas: academic success, career preparation and community service.  Keystone offers teens the opportunity to gain valuable leadership and service experience and provides support to our Club and the community as a whole.  Some of the Club's service projects include the Veteran's Day Program and Annual Blood Drive.
